Idrissa Diop and Lewis Clovis (2007)

This is one message from a collection of email scams. We aren’t the source of these messages and we don’t send them! We collect the ones we receive and document them here for the benefit of others. (How do advance fee frauds work?)

If you have been victimized by an email scam like the one shown below you may wish to contact a lawyer or postal inspector in your state or country.

Subject: HELLO MY DEAR OLD FRIEND

My dear good freind,

I’m happy to inform you about my success in getting those funds transferred under the cooperation of a new partner from New Zealand. Presently i’m in Paraguay for investment projects with my own share of the total sum. meanwhile,i didn’t forget your past efforts and attempts to assist me in transferring those funds despite that it failed us some how due to bank transfer charges that we were not able to secure then.

Now contact my secretary in Senegal his name is Mr. Lewis Clovis ask him to send you the total of $900.000.00 which i kept for your compensation for all the past efforts and attempts to assist me in this matter.I have also taken some measures on how the money can get to you without bank processes and also secured. I appreciated your efforts at that time very much. so feel free and get in touched with my secretary Mr.Lewis and instruct him on where you can receive the amount.

Please do let me know immediately you receive it so that we can share the joy after all the efforts and attempts at that time. in the moment, I am very busy here because of the investment projects which me and the new partner are having at hand, finally, remember that I had forwarded instruction to the secretary on your behalf to receive that money, so feel free to get in touch with him, he will send the amount to you without any delay.

Regards,

Mr.Idrissa Diop
